Former England striker Michael Owen has suggested Liverpool should swoop for Alexander Isak rather than let him join rivals Arsenal.

The Sweden international has been in fine form and has been a goal threat against the Reds as they lift the Carabao Cup this season, with a host of Premier League clubs interested, and Owen has suggested Liverpool should not let the forward slip away if he is ready to leave.
“If Isak can go, I think Liverpool should do everything they can to get a player like that in their team,” Owen told UfabetSPORT. “Arsenal too – Arsenal really want a ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี player like him. Who wouldn’t want a player like that?”
“From Newcastle’s point of view, the club cannot afford to let him go. I understand what people are saying about balancing the books and giving them financial credit, but so what?”
“You would go with Isak over there, he’s one of those guys who can take you to the top level. You need special players. Look at Liverpool this year, they have the best centre-back, one of the best forwards in Mo Salah.”
“They have the best goalkeeper too. You need top players to compete for titles. He’s the one you need to build your team around. They already have a strong midfield and with Isak in attack you have more than half a chance [to win titles].”
“I don’t think Darwin Nunez will be at Liverpool next season. I think there are one or two Premier League teams interested in him. There are also teams abroad interested in him.”
