Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann believes former Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs manager Jose Mourinho could be the best person to replace Jurgen Klopp in this summer.
Much has begun to prepare for Klopp’s successor following the German manager’s shock announcement that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season. After holding the position for 9 years
Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen boss And the team icon was an early favorite to replace Klopp before he decided to announce his stay with the Bundesliga champions this season.
Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim, who has also been linked with West Ham, has been mentioned as another option, but former Reds midfielder Hamann feels Mourinho could be a potential option.
The 61-year-old manager is currently without a club after being fired by Roma in January. and expressed a strong desire to return to work as a team manager as soon as possible
Mourinho previously enjoyed success winning the Premier League with Chelsea and the European Championship with Manchester United, ยูฟ่าเบท but struggled in his most recent stint in England with Spurs.
Hamann warned Liverpool may have to come to terms with difficult times following Klopp’s departure, but stress that Mourinho, who watched the Reds’ game at Craven Cottage on Sunday, will not be daunte by this inheritance
“That’s a valid point. I love Mourinho. He will not be shake by inheriting Klopp. There might be a manager who turns down the job saying, ‘This is my dream job, but joining Klopp is impossible,’ Hamann said.
“We saw what happened at Manchester United with Fergie when he left. The more I think about it The more I saw it could happen for a season or two.”
“Clubs make five-year and eight-year plans and the manager leaves after six months, so it’s a day-to-day business. And you don’t know what’s going to happen in three years.”
“If you pull him in and say, ‘Let new blood come in If you finish 6th next season, it’s still good because within a year or two We have a very good team with a lot of homegrown players. It’s normal.”
“But it doesn’t make sense to bring in someone for the next five years, sign a player for 100 million and finish fifth or sixth. That’s not acceptable.”
