Spain coach Luis de la Fuente said he was thrilled when his team fought Netherlands to penalties and felt it was like a final.

Spain have secured a place in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals after beating the Netherlands on penalties after the two matches ended 2-2 in normal time, with the second leg tied 3-3 and the aggregate score 5-5.

“We are very excited,” De La Fuente said สมัคร UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีสำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ after the game. “It’s a game that could have been a European Championship final. We are at the level we can do it. We have the same feeling as a final (Euro 2024).”

“It’s a game between two teams with similar characteristics because they play an attacking game and the fans will have a lot of fun in the next round. We are enjoying the last four with three world champions and one European champion.”

Dean Huijsen came off the bench in the first leg and started the second against the Netherlands – his country of birth – to earn his first two caps for Spain. The 19-year-old earned his call-up after an impressive season with Bournemouth and De La Fuente was full of praise for him.

“He seemed to have been competing with us for a long time. He is a wonderful guy and brings a lot to the table. We are very happy. Another one who joins this cause and this family, which is growing all the time,” he said.

For the UEFA Nations League semi-finals in early June, Spain will face France, while Germany will face Portugal in the other match.
