Fabio Capello has admitted he was shock to see Roma sack Daniele De Rossi as their manager, and has warned AC Milan to give Paulo Fonseca time to stay in charge despite this weekend’s defeat to Inter Milan.
This season’s Serie A has only been play for 4 games, with the “Wolves” yet to win a game, losing only one game with 3 points, but De Rossi was sack and Ivan Juric was brought in to take over.
Fonseca could be on the verge of being sack if the Rossoneri lose to Inter Milan in the Milan derby on Sunday, following their Champions League defeat to Liverpool, but Capello is against that.
“I am shock by the sacking of De Rossi,” Capello told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “If you revolutionise a team, he should have time, not be sack after four games.”
“It would be a mistake to sack Fonseca even if he loses the derby, Fonseca needs time too, although now it’s up to him to turn things around.”
“Antonio Conte has shown at Napoli both privately and publicly that after the first game the team failed to wake them up.”
“Fonseca has to get into the players’ minds because they are not ready to face a different situation than in training. They looked so satisfied after winning the Scudetto and never came back.”
“Maybe Zlatan Ibrahimovic can instill that in the players ยูฟ่าเบท. The hunger is something that is never lacking.”
